About Us

We Know Things. We Know People. We Know How to Get Things Done.

Ritual is a women-owned and operated small business built around a simple idea: we hold the process so you don’t have to carry it alone.

Our team brings years of experience across customer service, retail, hospitality, events, startups, operations, sales, merchandising, and small business. We’ve spent our careers working with people, solving problems, managing details, creating experiences, and figuring out what needs to happen next when there are a hundred moving pieces.

We’re organized. We’re resourceful. We care about the details. And yes, we probably love a good spreadsheet, a well-labeled box, and a satisfying before-and-after more than most people.

But what matters most is how we treat the people we’re working with.

You may not know what to keep. You may not know what something is worth. You may not have the time or energy to sort through an entire home. You may simply not know where to begin.

You don’t have to. That’s what we’re here for.

Giving Things a Next Chapter

We believe things can have more than one life.

The table that’s been sitting in a family dining room for 30 years might become someone’s first dining table. A vintage work jacket tucked away in a closet might find the person who’s been searching for exactly that one. A collection someone spent decades building might bring joy to another collector.

And when something can have a second life, we’d rather help it find one than see it end up in a landfill.

That’s why sustainability is part of how we approach every sale. We look for opportunities to sell, donate, reuse, repurpose, and responsibly move things along whenever possible. Not everything needs to be thrown away simply because its first chapter has ended.

More Than an Estate Sale

Ritual isn’t about rushing through someone’s belongings and putting a price tag on everything.

It’s about creating a thoughtful plan, handling the details, and making a difficult transition feel a little more manageable.

We’ll listen. We’ll make a plan. We’ll research and price. We’ll organize and prepare. We’ll create an inviting experience for the community. We’ll handle the logistics, the questions, the transactions, and the things that inevitably come up along the way.

And we’ll do it with care.

Because we’ve been on the other side of this process. We know that sometimes the things you’re sorting through aren’t just things.

They’re pieces of a life.

And we don’t take that lightly.

You bring us the transition. We’ll hold the process.

We believe there are certain moments in life that deserve a little more care.

The passing of a loved one. A move. Downsizing. A new chapter that requires letting go of the things that filled the last one.

These transitions can be practical, emotional, and overwhelming all at once. At Ritual Estate Sales, we believe you shouldn’t have to navigate them alone.

Where Ritual Began

My interest in estate sales started in a place I never expected: grief.

When I unexpectedly lost my dad in 2019, I found myself surrounded by the physical evidence of his life. His things. His collections. The ordinary objects that suddenly didn’t feel ordinary at all.

Going through those belongings became part of my own ritual of grieving. I held things he had held. I came across things that made me laugh, brought back stories, and reminded me of parts of his life I had forgotten. There were decisions to make, but there was also something deeply meaningful about simply spending time with the pieces of his life.

It was one of the ways I felt close to him while learning how to let go. That experience stayed with me.

After spending several years researching, pricing, collecting, and selling vintage and secondhand goods, I began to see estate sales differently. These aren’t just houses full of stuff. They’re collections of stories, memories, history, usefulness, and beauty. Things that deserve thoughtful consideration before they move on.

And that’s where Ritual was born.
